Hello QAE!

We had so much fun at the last playdate, we decided to do it again! Mark your calendars for Thursday, August 18, from 4-6PM.  We decided to have it at David Rodgers Park, on the corner of 1st and Raye.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Kristin Teske, Activities Chair, at teskes@comcast.net.

We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Hello to all my classroom students, families, and QAE garden folks -

Mark Power contacted me a couple of days ago about a project he's working on
for the Nature Conservancy. It's an exciting development, and the project is
moving forward rapidly.  We need several kids to come out to the garden at
our new school THIS EVENING to take part in a video shoot. Here are some
of the details from Mark:

"I'm shooting a promo thing for the Nature Conservancy. Part of the pilot
for our campaign is a sample of a classroom creating a song and kid like
video piece the represents their environment: physical environment, social
environment, classroom environment, pedagogical environment.
We are
introducing the beginning of a nation wide, healthy classroom to classroom
competition to see who is most serious about joining with their global
neighbor children to preserve mother nature!!
I want you to be the first
classroom in the world to put Nature Conservancy's,
"How Is Your
Environment" campaign into action!!

We need volunteer agents around the
country to join forces with a loud voice to speak for those (and mother
nature) that cannot speak for themselves, due to deprivation, injustice, and
oppression.
"Children of the World say:
'We will preserve the Earth!!'"

What/Title: BAILEY'S GARDEN
Who - Elliott/Bailey's kids
Where: new school location outdoor shoot
When: Wednesday, July 13
6:30pm

Why: The Nature Conservancy pilot -class song to heal our nature!  This song
